Terms of Use

A beta service
Compass is in beta. Features may change, pause or end, and the service may be unavailable or lose data. We provide it free of charge and “as is”; please keep your own copy of anything important, like booking details.
Who can use Compass
Compass is currently available in the United States. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. One person per account.
Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us through the Contact page if you think someone else is using your account. You’re responsible for what happens under it. You can delete your account at any time from the profile menu.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- invite people who haven’t agreed to hear from you, or use invitations to send spam;
- post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- create Ventures or other content automatically, scrape the service, call its API outside our apps, or try to get around its limits or security;
- interfere with Compass or other people’s use of it.
To protect everyone, Compass automatically locks accounts that show unusual activity, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If your account is locked by mistake, contact us and we’ll review it.
Your content
You own what you add to Compass. You give NiraMind a limited licence to store it and show it to the people you share it with (for a Venture, everyone on it), only to run Compass. If you delete your account, Ventures you hosted and suggestions you made stay for the others on them, without your name.
Ideas, places and weather
- Gemini’s ideas are generated by AI and may be wrong, out of date or unsuitable. Check opening times, prices, safety and conditions yourself before you rely on them.
- Weather shows forecasts or past averages and is not a guarantee.
- Compass helps you plan; it doesn’t sell, book or guarantee travel, lodging or activities, and isn’t responsible for third-party places or providers.
Google Maps and other services
Destination search and place details are provided by Google Maps. By using these features, you agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy. Other services Compass shows, like links to websites, have their own terms.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Compass is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. NiraMind won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or plans, and our total liability for any claim about Compass is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
You agree to hold NiraMind harmless from claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
Ending
You can stop using Compass at any time. We may suspend or end access to the service, or to an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. The sections on content, disclaimers and liability survive.
Changes and general terms
We may update these terms as Compass grows; we’ll change the date above and tell you about significant changes. Continuing to use Compass after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Questions? Use the Contact page.
